The pursuit of playing the violin can begin at a young age. In fact, musical language is most naturally absorbed in a process similar to verbal language acquisition -- something that comes naturally during childhood.
Be a part of our first Prelude Violin class for students ages 5 and older, led by local violinist Kana Kimura. Inspired by the similar, nurturing philosophies of Music Together® and the Suzuki Violin Method, this class will establish a strong foundation for playing the violin.
Tuition is $280 for the 9-week Winter session with 45-minute classes. Children will need to rent a violin. We suggest Lisle Violin Shop.
The Prelude Music Foundation's sole purpose is to bring Music Together®, a research-based music and movement program, to children in need in the greater Houston area. Our goal is for children to experience, experiment, create, heal and learn from the power of music.
“ My son (6),daughter (16 months) and I have so much fun in our Prelude class. Both kids love to move and groove to the music, our teacher's rich voice, and the wide array of instruments provided. It's one of the best hours of togetherness we have all week!”
