COVID-19 Policies and Procedures for Prelude's Music Classes In-Person Classes

We are committed to doing our best to mitigate the risks associated with COVID 19 by practicing social distancing and enhancing sanitation. We will do all we can to keep our families, and staff healthy.

Upon arrival, you will be asked the following questions:
    • Do you or your child have symptoms of a cold/flu?
    • Has anyone in your household been diagnosed with Covid 19?
  • Please refrain from attending class if you’ve been diagnosed with the Coronavirus, or if you or your children have been in close proximity to someone who has been diagnosed.
  • Stay home if you’re experiencing any cold symptoms, are feeling sick, have a fever, cough, or any difficulty breathing.
  • Wash your hands before and after class! A sanitizing station will be available.
  • Notify the office if you or anyone in your immediate family has been diagnosed with Covid 19.
  • We will practice social distancing, and ask all grownups to help us lovingly redirect their own children back to their spot should they begin to get too close to another family. We ask for everyone to remain 6 feet apart except with people in your own family or other cohort.
  • Masks are encouraged but are not required for outdoor classes.
  • Bring your masks to all outdoor classes just in case a child gets close to you.
  • Instruments will not be shared. Families will receive their “music bag” which needs to come with you for all classes.

  • Weather issues: if class needs to be canceled due to rain or inclement weather, the class will meet through zoom, with the same families, teacher, and at the same time.
  • Makeup Classes- families will have access to 3 zoom classes per week.

Policies and Procedures for Prelude's Music Classes

- Cancellation Policy:  No Refunds are issued after the first day of classes. There are no exceptions.

- CDs, Songbooks, Guides: With your enrollment in a Fall, Winter, Summer, or Spring session, each family will receive a CD, Songbook, and Parent Education Materials. Make it available for your child to listen to while she/he is playing, riding in the car, and before nap or bedtime. Use the songbook to help you remember the songs and you can also play along with an instrument. At bedtime or nap time, try using the songbook instead of a regular book.

- Personal Injury Waiver:  A parent or caregiver is required to be present with each child participating in Prelude Music Classes for Children.  Our team has worked very hard to provide a safe environment for you and your family.  Therefore, by participating in class, families agree to hold Prelude Music Classes for Children and all teachers, staff, and affiliated persons free from all damages or liability for any injury to person or property arising from participation in classes.
