Music Together® Classes
with Classes in Houston, The Heights, and The Woodlands
Babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and big kids all love Music Together! Our playful music classes for kids support every child, no matter their learning style or stage of development. Each class includes lots of music activities especially created for young children, led by a trained teacher who inspires everyone to join in the fun!
Family Class (children 0 - 5 years old)
In Family Class at Prelude Music Classes, babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and the grownups who love them® gather for fun-filled family music time. Your teacher will lead you and the other families in music activities ranging from lullabies to full-on jam sessions. It's so much fun you won't realize how much learning is taking place!
You'll take home the award-winning music used in class, along with an illustrated songbook and other resources. As you discover new ways to play with music all week long, you'll be supporting your child's music-learning and overall develpment--even if you don't think of yourself as a great singer or dancer.
In this class, everyone participates at their own levels: babies vocalize, listen, and observe; toddlers play and experiment; preschoolers buid confidence as they emerge as classroom leaders.
Babies Class (infants 0 - 8 months)
This (usually) one-semester Music Together® Babies Class was created specifically for families with infants under nine months old. You might be wondering what your newborn could possibly take away from a music class and how old they have to be before they can benefit. It's never too early to start making music! Your little one is a natural-born music-maker, ready to start learning music at birth.
Maybe you've noticed that your baby responds when you play a song in the car or sing to soothe them. Babies are naturally musical--and you don't have to be a great singer or dancer yourself to nurture their love of music.
As in everything, you are your baby's first and best teacher. In this music class for infants, your Music Together® teacher will show you how you can Support Your Baby's Music Development through simple and fun activities. You'll learn lots of musical ways to connect with your little one through music.
Canta y Baila Conmigo® (children 0 - 5 years)

Rhythm Kids® (children 4 - 9 years)
For children from PreK through second grade, Rhythm Kids® by Music Together is the music and movement program where children explore rhythm through drumming, singing, and dancing to a combination of Music Together® songs specifically adapted for their age and new music inspired from around the world.
Taught in two levels, one for four- and five-year-olds and one for kindergartenders through second graders, Rhythm Kids® completes the early childhood music development path from birth through age 9, including music pre-litearcy. Children learn to drum, sing, and move to new rhythms, work in ensemles, conduct, and improvise. Through dymanic music games and activities, they develop skills like recognizing and playing patterns and soloing, they develop timing, coordination, listening skills, and self-expression, and they build self-confidence and social abilities.
NEW! Supportive Family Class
If you're looking for a sensory friendly music class in a smaller group setting, then Supportive Family Class was made for your needs.
Many children who are neurodiverse will most likely thrive in a mixed-age class because our "accept and include" philosophy means that we respect different ages, stages, and learning styles. Our teachers have specialized training to be considerate & mindful of all our children's needs, such as making necessary adjustments to the music volume, additional repetition to give more opportunity to engage with a specific song, and more. Supportive Family Class includes all of the elements of a Music Together® class--songs, chants, movement activities, and instrument play--but with fewer children and more individualized attention.
Music & Mindfulness Camp (children 5+)
Music and Mindfulness Camp is a unique camp experience for children 5 and older who are interested in learning how to play the violin and ukulele. Many children who attend camp decide after a week if they want to continue with private study. This is a great way to introduce a child to playing an instrument for the first time. All campers will have a daily group violin and ukulele lesson, will practice rhythm and tonal work through drumming, song and dance. Every day, we will have a craft activity to inspire mindfulness as a general practice. Our camp will start and end with breathing exercises. We will have fun singing, dancing, drumming, and playing instruments! We will also practice gratitude, breathing exercises, and make crafts that will calm the mind, help with focus, and will help children reflect on kindness for each other and their family members.
Camp is limited to 10 children. Music and Mindfulness will help keep your child busy learning while also acquiring some important life skills. On Friday, all parents and or caregivers are invited to a demonstration showing some of the skills and music they learned throughout the week.
