Making Music at Your Milk Story!

Come connect and bond with your baby through music at Your Milk Story!

Did you know that newborns are exquisitely prepared for a musical experience? Although babies are born with little control over their bodies and without much visual activity, their sense of hearing is well-developed. They begin to hear and respond to sound in the womb from about 14 weeks gestation, and are alert to the sounds of speech and music as soon as they are born! This developed hearing is why babies in the womb respond to their parent's voices, being sung to, and so on.

What to Expect in Class:

Our real student is YOU - the parent. We teach you how to utilize music and build lifelong musical memories with your children. Below are a few tips on how to make the most out of your music class experience:

  1. Follow What We Do - YOU are the real student in our classes! Our goal is to teach you how to support your child's cognitive, emotional, physical, and language development. You are your child's first and most important teacher!

  2. Be Present - Come prepared to connect and bond with your child. We will be singing and moving to the beat together. Fully-engaging in the class & the experience not only helps you understand the program, but allows you to create a special space with your child. Allow music time with your child to be a sacred part of your routine; a time that is just for you to be together as parent(s) and child.

  3. Build Community at Home - Community building begins at home. Music helps us build relationships. A child's most important relationships is with you. Continue making music at home!
